Privacy policy

Confidentiality and safeguarding

This coaching relationship, as well as any information that clients share with Cathy, is bound by the principles of confidentiality set forth in the Association for Coaching Code of Ethics. She will not share any information about them without their written consent.

It is, however, important to note that if Cathy reasonably believes there to be an imminent or likely risk of danger or harm to her clients or others, she is obliged to inform the appropriate authorities. Wherever possible, and if it is considered appropriate, the client will be informed of this.

Supervision

According to the ethics of our profession, topics may be anonymously and hypothetically shared with other coaching professionals for training, supervision, mentoring, or evaluation. Cathy undertakes regular supervision and any information that a Supervisor receives is also treated as confidential and subject to the same ethical criteria as coaching.

Record keeping

Cathy Eden will keep records of her sessions with clients. This information will include:

  • The dates they attended.

  • Forms they have completed to do with the coaching they receive.

  • What has been covered in coaching (in brief), recorded in writing to aid the coaching process only.

  • Fees paid and outstanding.

 

Otherwise instructed, all paper notes ​made during each session ​will be destroyed after the session. Records containing a brief outline of coaching sessions and the information given are stored securely online and will be destroyed after a period of not less than 5 years. 

 

All electronic records are stored on a secure password protected system accessed by Cathy only. 

 

Cathy is a UK-based coach and is registered with the Information Commissioners Office. She adheres to GDPR guidelines.
